A sensorial approach and dialogue with clients are the foundation of our way of respecting, studying, and enhancing space.
We believe that a place must be “ understood ” before being “ designed ”.
During a workshop, professor and friend Fredrik Lund took us to a small, quiet place by the sea. Once we arrived on the site, he had us play hide-and-seek, sack races, and tag. When I asked him why he did this, he replied that, by walking the length and breadth of the lot, we had gained a full understanding of the place, its dimensions, and the space needed to traverse it from one end to the other.
